Baby Mama Loves..Chapters

Hey mama,

It’s been a hot minute since my last blog post, -we’ve celebrated Lukas turning 1 and had him christened!- hence my silence here. It’s been a busy old time and sometimes something’s got to give in order to have some sanity.,hasn’t it?!

But fear not it back and I cannot WAIT to share this months recommendation- CHAPTERS.

When Emma shared her business idea with me whilst we were at the park pushing swings and buggy’s, I knew instantly this would be such a sought after, timeless keepsake,- that would be a precious moment in time to capture. It was also abundantly evident in how Emma was talking not just how much time, effort & consideration had gone into this, but also her genuine passion & enthusiasm for this project was almost

Chapters is all about creating video keepsakes of different chapters of life. (See what she did there ;) ). Whether that’s celebrating the first year of parenthood, milestone birthdays or anniversary, or a celebration of life for someone you care about…it’s all about capturing those moments so in years to come you can look back and reminisce-after all, life is so busy it’s often easy to forget.

Emma has previously held several journalist roles- aswell as having worked at the BBC & LADbible, - so she really knows her stuff and is able to carry out her work with integrity.

After chatting more whilst at the park (honestly, we never stop gassing whilst together 🤣), Emma mentioned she was looking for some guinea pigs to test run her snazzy new equipment with and Ian & I were honoured to have been asked.

We set a date, and Emma popped over one evening and interviewed us on our sofa. She is such a warm, bubbly, friendly person that even though Ian had actually never met her she instantly made him feel at ease..just as she did me when I first met her whilst she was pregnant with her son! Ian & I were both a bit unsure as to what to expect, but Emma’s interviewing style honestly just made us feel so comfortable-it didn’t feel like an interview at all!

We were able to chat openly about our first year as a family of four, as well as thinking back to when we first had Klara too. We laughed and I cried , and we really didn’t want our time to come to an end haha! After, Emma explained to me how to upload video clips we may want included and to leave her to work her magic…,and what magic indeed.

In what felt like no time at all, our video was ready. Clips of our family life beautifully woven into footage of our interview..we both had tears in our eyes the first time we watched it! We’ve since shared with family & friends too who’ve also commented on how beautiful it is to have!

For me, I think it’s so wonderful to have something that’s wholly capturing a moment in time. In years to come when our kids are both at school, I’m sure we will soon forget the feelings we experience now. The late nights, those early newborn days, the feeding obstacles we faced..but having something we can look back on means we will truly be able to relive it and reminisce even when we’re old and grey, and we can’t thank Emma enough for that.
