Baby Mama Loves..Puddle Ducks Dorset

Hello mama, welcome back to my Baby Mama Loves Blog....I hope your February is off to a good start so far?!

This month I am really excited to share something that is suitable for a whole range of you-in particular, those with children aged from 0-10years!

Let me be straight up with you-last month I was really kindly gifted some swimming lessons with Puddle Ducks, some for Klara (aged 4) and some for Lukas (age 10 months at the time!), but TRUST me this recommendation is from the heart...so much so that we have actually decided to swap Klara over to Puddle Ducks from her existing swim school!!

Anyway, let me fill you in! Klara attended the Puddle Ducks Swim Academy class on a Friday evening at Portfield School (just by Bournemouth Airport!) as this day and time suited us best. The great thing about Puddle Ducks is that they offer swim lessons over different days, times and locations, so you can pick the one that suits you best. I was a bit unsure how she'd get on as she can be very shy in unfamiliar situations, but she was raring to go and was welcomed into the pool and instantly put at ease by Jane & Laura who were so fab! The class had two teachers for just 4 children which is amazing as each child gets unique support throughout and is not left to fend for themselves at any point (something we have experienced at another swim school!) 

From the get go, I could hand on heart tell that the Swim Academy is completely different to where Klara is currently swimming. She was encouraged to swim without any arm bands or noodles from the off and I was amazed to see what she was actually capable of! She was also jumping in the pool without any assistance -something which she has never done before, all from her first lesson!! She really enjoyed her swim, and was already looking forward to going back the following week. The second lesson we were lucky enough to have Daddy come and watch too, and this week also saw Klara learn a different technique with her legs-again something which she has never been introduced to. But with expert support from Jane & Laura, she was smashing it from the start and we were super proud of her. I have genuinely seen such a whopping improvement in Klara's swimming in such a short space of time that we have, as mentioned, decided to take the plunge (sorry, absolutely could not resist that pun haha!) and switch her over to Puddle Ducks Swim Academy as of the next term! She is really excited to learn more, and I can tell she enjoys the fact that her 'new swimming' is more challenging in the best kind of way. I can not wait to see what she achieves over the coming weeks given the improvement in 3 short weeks!

Onto Lukas, who has only been swimming a handful of times bless him! Puddle Ducks again offers such a variety of days and times for their Splashers class (6-15months), that I was chuffed to find a Sunday class.. meaning that Lukas & Daddy could enjoy swimming together, especially as they don't often get the opportunity to do something just the two of them! Held again at Portfield School in their warm pool, we were greeted warmly by the ever so wonderful Lisa, a friendly face who has also attended the Under 1's Club to share her top tips previously! To say Lukas was OBSESSED  with her is an understatement- the boy could not take his eyes off her haha!! They were singing songs, blowing bubbles and even under the water all in their first lesson! The smiles on Lukas' face were absolutely incredible and it was so so joyous to see him enjoying his swim time with Daddy-core memories indeed. Being safe in the water from an early age is paramount and this is something that is a key part of all Puddle Ducks lessons. In Splashers, this is woven in easily amongst the fun and Lisa really knows her stuff! 

All in all, I can hand on heart recommend Puddle Ducks. We have absolutely loved our lessons so far , and can not wait to see how Klara's swimming develops over the coming weeks under their expert guidance. I can't thank them enough for kindly gifting us some classes so I can share with confidence how impressive they are! I'm already looking forward to all going swimming together when we next go on holiday!
